Most workshops have limited spaces - see below for full details on availability, age limits and participation requirements.  All workshops require a payment of $5 at the service desk in the exhibition hall on the day.  A receipt for entry to the workshop will then be issued.

Mindful Movement Workshop - Tara Ahern

Includes Mindful Breathing, Mindful Chair Movement and Mindful Relaxation and Intention Setting. Join Tara, an internationally qualified teacher with over 20 years of experience, for a rejuvenating Mindful Movement Practice that promises to leave you energized, calm, and crystal clear. Tara provides caring, professional guidance and individually tailored suggestions, offering encouragement and making personal adjustments to fit your needs.

Paint and Plant - Billie Baxter

Join Billie, painting fun and brightly coloured terracotta painter pots. On the day of the workshop there will be some potting mix & cuttings to complete your painted pot. Billie Baxter is a local artist & was our 2023 Graceville Arts Festival featured artist. Billie enjoys helping with community based art projects & and her latest project has been a mural for the local community centre.

Basket Weaving - Emma Randall

Join Emma as she shares her knowledge and expertise to create beautiful weaved baskets. Emma is a young Yaegl artist with ancestry from Northern NSW, and has been living locally on the Sunshine Coast most of her life. She is also a participant in one of Graceville’s mental health programs and a peer worker. Emma weaves a cultural practice and a form of mindfulness.

Macrame Leaf Making - Annette Legosz

Join Annette, a local artist and Graceville team member in creating beautiful hanging macrame leaves. Macrame is the art of using a range of textiles such as cotton, rope and yarn and knotting techniques to make decorative art pieces and objects. Leave with a unique, handmade decoration perfect for any room or space!!

Catherine Steer-O'Neill of Little Big World Puppet Company is a local professional puppeteer ready to guide you through a workshop to make a flying bird puppet. Look out for Catherine roving during Saturday afternoon with marionettes and a large structure!
