About Us

About Lutheran Services

Lutheran Services is one of Queensland’s longest established community services and aged care providers.

We provide services, support and accommodation for older people, young people, people living with disabilities and/or mental health concerns, and those facing domestic and family violence.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we reinvest in the people and places we serve and in those who deliver our service.

We believe people are not defined by their illness. Recovery for individuals living with mental health concerns is about helping them gain the life skills needed to live their best life.

Our teams of qualified professionals support individuals to live the life of their choosing.  We walk beside them on their personal journey to ensure they reach their desired goals, which includes working towards a nourished and healthy mind.

We work hard to brighten days and lighten loads for people like you and families like yours every day of the year.

Exercising regularly is a well-established method for improving an individual’s mental health.

The National Study of Mental Health and Wellbeing (2022) advises that exercising was among the top strategies that Australians chose to improve their wellness and managing their symptoms of ill mental health. Physical activity is also proven to help lift mood, increase energy levels and improve sleeping.

Sponsoring participants in Moving for your Mind also comes with its own health benefits!  Giving good to feel good creates a chemical response in your body generating mood regulation, a sense of pleasure and connection with others.

By Moving for your Mind this February you'll be supporting better mental health for yourself and others!
